Hugel Inc., a leading global medical aesthetics company publicly traded in South Korea, hosted its Aesthetic Excellence Summit (AES) 2026 from October 14 to 16 in Korea, bringing together healthcare professionals (HCPs) from around the world for hands-on training in medical aesthetics.
AES is a twice-yearly program under H.E.L.F. (Hugel Expert Leader’s Forum), the company’s flagship global academic symposium. Through these seminars, Hugel provides international medical professionals with opportunities to refine their clinical skills and treatment techniques.
Building on the first-half program, AES 2026 highlighted science-based techniques to optimize product efficacy and achieve natural-looking results. The program aimed to strengthen HCPs’ clinical expertise and build greater confidence in K-aesthetics. Approximately 20 medical aesthetics professionals from Europe, Asia, the Middle East, South America and other regions attended the three-day event.
On the first day, participants toured Hugel’s production facilities to learn about its quality management systems. During an interactive session, they assembled LEGO bricks to explore the mechanism of action of botulinum toxin and the “narrow diffusion” profile of Letybo, Hugel’s botulinum toxin product. The session also illustrated the toxin’s high binding affinity for receptors involved in its interaction with neuronal cells. In addition, the HCPs examined material samples from different stages of the dermal filler manufacturing process to gain insight into how the products are made.
On the second day, the HCPs attended an anatomy workshop and practical training session at the Catholic Institute for Applied Anatomy. The sessions were led by Dr. Kyu-Ho Yi and Dr. Chang-il Yoon of YOU&I Clinic’s Mok-dong branch and Professor Soo-Bin Kim of Wonkwang University’s College of Dentistry. The speakers shared proper injection techniques for botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, emphasizing safe treatment approaches grounded in anatomical knowledge.
On the final day, Dr. Hyeunwoo Suh of VIBE Plastic Surgery Clinic introduced the latest treatment trends and site-specific treatment protocols. He also conducted live demonstrations, sharing practical clinical insights with the participants.
"I was impressed to be able to visit Hugel's manufacturing facility in person and learn about its production processes and quality control systems," said Jordanian dermatologist Hadeel Qudah who attended the event. "I was also very satisfied to gain practical insights from the event that I can apply directly in my clinical practice."
“As a global leader in medical aesthetics, Hugel is committed to continuously enhancing its products while sharing the philosophy behind K-aesthetics, its science-backed techniques and its competitive strengths in quality with healthcare professionals around the world,” said Dr. Seung Jun Shin, Vice President of Hugel’s Medical Business Division.
